Summary
Talking with OP3's John Spurlock, Dave says the stats framework stands on shaky ground because everyone still focuses on downloads. Every file he pulls just to analyze it gets an ad stitched in, and that ad is wasted money. The industry needs to think in listens.

if we can get all the podcasting 2.0 apps supporting Uli de mer that that takes it from now you're not talking about now, you're not just talking about downloads. Now you're talking about something very, very close to actual listens, right?

I'm going to download the episode run an analysis on it with the with a with the ML model and then toss it every one of those in a dynamic ad insertion model I got delivered in a head for that. And that ad was a complete waste of, of money
