Reacting to Adam's demo of Fernando's PodMobile device, which has strong built-in preamps, Dave noted that dynamic mics like the Electro-Voice RE320 (and even more the Shure SM7B) are 'hungry'. Without a decent preamp or a Cloudlifter, they suffer.
